On october 11th 2004 ken caminiti was pronounced dead by the cause of a heart attack due to steroid use. Caminiti was an ex-mvp of the national league in 1996, and also he was a gold glove winner and was selected to play on the allstar team three times. in 2001 caminiti retired after playing 15 years of major league baseball, right there and then caminiti admited to using steroids after injuring his shoulder while playing with the San Diego Padres. caminiti was the latest baseball player to die due to steroid use. this forced Major League Baseball to stricken the drug testing policy. since caminiti there has not been a player who has past, but there still are players who still use anabolic steroids.
